Mo Nelson Band was formed in fall of 2010 and is lead by veteran musician Mo Nelson, and backed by an incredible rhythm section consisting of Brad Hurlburt on drums and Scott Kostley on Bass – this band of hungry and talented musicians is taking Pittsburgh PA by storm with their energy and passion that is so often missing in today’s performers. In support of their debut album,’4 days and 40 years , which was recorded and produced in the music mecca of Austin Texas by Josh Woodhouse at Droplink Studios, MNB is pulling out all the stops to ride the wave of rave reviews of their music and live shows. Due to their hard work and focus, they are receiving radio play in Nashville TN and label support from GorillaBox Records.

In the past 20 years of playing professionally as a Vocalist, Bassist, Guitarist and Drummer, Mo Nelson has almost done it all, but is only just starting. After many years of being a sideman and performing with some of the biggest names in the music industry and touring the country several times, Mo has gone back to his roots and is running forward with his unique blend of Country, Americana and blues music. He is truly a passionate musician and wants to bring his talent and love of country and country music to the masses. With the debut release of 4 days and 40 years, and with a band that is second to none, his stock is only going up with a sound that has been described as, ‘ Alternative Willie Nelson. ‘ Mo uses Gretsch, Fender and Takamine guitars, Custom Modulus Basses, Fender and SWR amps and Shure mics.
